Frog's Heaven

Destination: Sarapiqui

Sarapiqui’s valley is one of the most remarkable rainforests in the world. The natural world that surrounds this part of Costa Rica is a true rainforest experience. Thousands of life forms exist in any given ecosystem ranging from a patch of overgrown grass to deep and mature primary forest. A place on its own worth spending a lifetime exploring.

Day 1, 2 & 3. Departure from San Jose to Braulio Carrillo National Park is an hour’s worth of drive into the heart of one of Costa Rica’s natural treasures,  4 hours a moderate to easy hike to capture all we can see from ladybugs to Pitvipers, a fantastic destination for flora macro photography as well. Dozens of leaf shapes, colorful flowers, intricate seeds and weird-looking seed pods. Next day we will visit La Selva Biological Station. The most well-studied rainforest on earth, heaven for scientists, birders and nature photographers. 

On the last day we can miss the visit to the Frog Heaven for stage photography or controlled environment. (4 hours). Followed to transfer back to San Jose.
